In Guatemala, over half of the population lives in inadequate housing
Houses with dirt floors that turn to mud when it rains, walls and roofs made of either rusted sheet metal, plastic tarps, bamboo, corn stalks, or whatever can be found. Cooking involves an open fire without proper ventilation. If the family has the luxury of a bed, they all share it. Bathrooms involve finding privacy in the woods.

We were forced to take notice
We became aware of the living conditions around us after traveling the country giving wheelchairs. The heart of God lies in the care of those that are unable to provide for themselves. For people living with disabilities, widows, orphans, and those living under circumstances out of their control, God has given us the opportunity to provide homes where families can enjoy their newfound safety and comfort.
"A Modest Mansion"
To some, our homes may seem small and modest, but for those receiving them, a spacious home with newly painted metal, concrete floor, beds, and a stove is a blessing from God. Having built more than a thousand homes, we have streamlined the process and build a house in two days. We continue to look for ways to customize each home to meet the needs of each family.
